Airfoil Stall Study

The purpose of this journal is to document my progress in understanding the ability of our computational methods to predict the stall of an airfoil, wing and then eventually wind turbine rotor blades. Throughout this journal, I will use considerable engineering terminology. In order to follow some of these concepts click on the K8 website.

Sub-Topics

        1. In the BeginningÉ
        2. S809 Airfoil
        3. Fully Turbulent
        4. Transitional Turbulent

Some Useful Links

The K8 aeronautics textbook. A good reference that may help you understand some of my terminology

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory. This site contains a wealth of information regarding renewable energy and particularly wind energy.,

This link goes to my the wind turbine research group at UC Davis. There you will find some of our latest research papers and some biographies of the researchers.
