Classroom of the future

Students will be growing plants in the classroom to compare with tested by NASA scientists on the ground and on the ISS. This forum will help teachers and students to set up and run their classroom experiments. Scientists from NASA will participate in the forum.

Astronomy

The study of astronomy takes you to the farthest reaches of space and the innermost depths of matter and from the earliest beginning of time to the future billions of years from now. This presentation will introduce you to the wonders of the entire universe and discuss the STS-109 mission to refurbish Hubble.

Sun-Earth Day Celebration
As part of NASA's Sun-Earth Day "Celebrate the Equinox" the Sun Earth Connection Education Forum with host Paul Mortfield, a Stanford Solar Center Astronomer, will be joined by students at NASA Ames Research Center to share the results of activities designed to learn more about the Sun.

We will meet Native Americans from the Lakota Nation in the Black Hills of South Dakota and hear from astronauts about the effects of the Sun on space travel.

International Science Research

Scientists from Russia, Italy and Canada will discuss the importance of plant science research in space. Canadian Mike Dixon will be featured in the webcast and will share his research and experiences while working at the Kennedy Space Center.
