Very nice preliminary design.  Good job with listing the equipment you need for your experiment (tube, rubber band, marshmallow, pencil, protractor).  Can you add more detail on how you will fire the marshmallow or pencil out of the tube with rubber bands?  Also good idea to put the tube at different angles and run different experiments.  How will you measure the amount of material ejected from the box when it gets impacted by the marshmallow or pencil?
