Crew Name: Kamahoali’i
Kamahoali’i was a Hawaiian shark god. He protected Hawaiian fisherman from man-eating sharks and he guided lost canoes to shore.

Vessel name: Moku o Piailug
Moku o Piailug is our vessel name because Mau Piailug taught Nainoa Thompson how to navigate using nature such as the sun, moon, stars, wind, clouds, and birds. So we named our vessel in honor of Mau Piailug. Moku o Piailug means ship of Piailug.
