The Learning Technologies Channel and the NASA Langley Research
Center present...
"Destination Tomorrow"

Building on our proven track record
as a recognized leader in distance learning, NASA Langley's Office
of Education has designed a 30-minute educational program, Destination
Tomorrow: Bringing the Future into Focus, for educators, parents,
and lifelong (adult) learners. Adults learn differently from school
aged children. Destination Tomorrow considers the theory,
principles of learning, and research to evaluate how adults learn
and apply knowledge. This educational, informative program builds
on the premise that much of NASA's research focuses on creating
today's knowledge to solve tomorrow's problems.
Destination Tomorrow communicates
knowledge resulting from NASA's aeronautics and space technology
programs. Destination Tomorrow not only seeks to increase
scientific literacy but also provides educators, parents, and lifelong
(adult) learners with the understanding and ways of thinking that
are essential for all citizens to function in a world shaped by
mathematics, science, and technology.
