Hi, I am a Computer Scientist and I write software programs that are used by both HST astronomer's and Space Telescope staff. Two of the more interesting and technically challenging programs that I work on are:

  • A Long Range Planning program that figures out the best time in a year to take the HST observations.

  • A software program that helps the Astronomer's figure out the best way to do their observations.

I get a lot of satisfaction from the work I do to support HST. Everytime I see HST pictures or hear about some new discovery made by HST, I know that the software programs I worked on helped in making it all possible.

When I graduated from High School, I had no idea what I wanted to do. My first year in college I took some computer classes and realized that I liked working with them. I went on to get a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science, and have been working with computers ever since.

I have two children. My daughter is 5 and my son is 2. When I'm not playing with my kids, you can find me playing soccer or riding my bicycle.
