NOAA's Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS): Prickly Shark Ecology
Archive Sustainable Seas Expedition Monterey Canyon is the only place that Prickly Sharks have been observed and tagged in large numbers. The DeepWorker will be used to conduct visual transects at the heads of several major canyons.

NOAA's Channel Islands NationalMarine Sancturary (CINMS): The Great American Fish Count
Archive Sustainable Seas Expedition From Anacapa, Ed Cassano, Manager at CINMS, will take you underwater to demonstrate how the fish count is conducted and explain what is learned during this project.

MultiMedia Tools used to Experience Archived Events:
Prior to Listening to or Viewing the Event you will need to Download the RealPlayer.
(The application program that allows you to hear or watch the events.)
Once you have downloaded and installed the RealPlayer on your computer.

  • Select the RealMedia archive you wish to play. The RealMedia archive will allow you to both watch and listen to the archive. The RealAudio archive is only an audio version and has no video archive.
  • You may also want to view the Slides or Biographies archived with this program.
