NASA
LCROSS and the Astronomical
Society of the Pacific invite you to attend one of two
webcasts specially designed to share information about the
upcoming LCROSS mission to the Moon. The presentation will
include a brief description of the mission, hands-on activities
that may be used with young people, and hints on how you
may participate actively in the mission. The webcasts target
especially:
NASA
Night Sky Network, a nationwide coalition of amateur
astronomy clubs bringing the science, technology, and inspiration
of NASA's missions to their communities.
Project
ASTRO: a national program that improves the teaching
of astronomy and physical science by linking professional
and amateur astronomers with local educators.
Astronomy
from the Ground Up: a National Science Foundation funded
program developed to provide informal science educators
at science centers, nature centers, museums, and other
informal education venues with new and innovative ways
to communicate astronomy content to their visitors.
