Lunar Research Station Design Challenge Preliminary Design
Our Lunar Research base’s total dimensions are 304 square feet. Our plan is that the astronauts will live in the CSPL (Command Service Payload Lander) while they are building the base. They will take 5 robots that are programmed in the payload bay to the site. These will help build the base. Our base is made of aluminum. Our base will have 20 different rooms/modules. Two airlocks, 1 eating area, 1 science module, 1 greenhouse, 1 nuclear plant, 3 toilets, 1 solar panel area with 20 solar panels, a recreation area, a storage bay, a medical module, an oxygen storage facility, a water production facility, a water purification facility, a water storage facility, a small mine, to mine helium 3, and a landing pad, for further experiments and supplies. |
