GLOBE Introduction:
Ann Hardison is the Outreach Director for The GLOBE Program. She has
a B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and is a graduate
student at Johns Hopkins University School of Government.
Overview of GLOBE Science:
Dr. Dixon Butler is an atmospheric physicist who started his career
making model predictions of the anticipated depletion of the stratospheric
ozone layer. Following a year as a Congressional Science Fellow for the
American Physical Society in 1979 - 1980, he joined NASA Headquaters where
most of his career has been spent managing Earth science research, planning
and overseeing development and operations of research satellites which
observe the global environment, particularly the Earth Observing System
and its data and information system.
GLOBE Soil Science:
Dr. Elissa Levine is a scientist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight
Center in Maryland. She has a Ph.D. in Agronomy from Penn State University.
GLOBE Biology:
Dr. Russell Congalton is an associate professor of Remote Sensing
and Geographic Information Systems at the University of New Hampshire.
Dr. Congalton holds a Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and Forest Biometrics from
the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Dr. Mimi Becker is an assistant professor of Environmental Policy
at the University of New Hampshire. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental
and Natural Resources Policy from Duke University.
