NeurOn at the Launch!

Linda comes to you live from the launch of STS-90

NASA-TV and reporters from all types of media receive the VIP treatment at Kennedy Space Center and report to you the glamorous side of a special NASA shuttle launch. They can wow you with magnificent pictures as rockets fire up and Columbia ascends! It's thrilling!

But, throughout this project, we have focused on the people behind this Neurolab flight. You've gotten to know some of them through their bios, journals and online chats. Do you ever wonder what they are doing during all this excitement? That is the story I tell you here.

April 7, I joined the team in their work (even got to help run errands and such) so that I could convey to you some of the excitement of the "worker bees." No, I didn't miss the launch! But I watched it from the place that "our team" working behind the scenes watched it. I tried to express to you what it's like for first timers, like Chris Barreras or veterans, like BJ Navarro. Join us!

    And Live:
webcast logo On April 13, 14, and 15 (the three days before launch) I reported to you live over Learning Technologies Channel. Download the RealPlayer. (The application program that allows you to hear or watch the events.)
