Welcome to NeuroLab ONLINE

NeurOn is dedicated to giving you a unique perspective on NASA's life science research as conducted on the Neurolab Mission. At this website, you will be able to follow the behind the scenes action of the men and women who were involved in this important mission through their periodic Field Journals. You may read about space researchers anxious for new data about gravitational and space biology. The people preparing the experiments, who live and breathe the excitement of creating space missions, shared their thoughts. These reports offer a glimpse of the day-to-day activities required, including the broad diversity of skills needed, as NASA pushes on new scientific frontiers.

Now that the Neurolab mission has flown, Neurolab Online offers a dedicated on-line archive which includes a timeless collection of Field Journals, biographical profiles of Life Science people, an image gallery, a collection of classroom projects and much more.

During the activities surrounding NeuroLab, special activities were scheduled. For example, an activity called the Great Habitat Debate in which students around the nation and the world shared data and ideas in the design of a habitat for animals in space is fully archived, and certainly usable in the classroom at any time. Additionally, a series of special QuestChat sessions with NASA folks remain documented online to continue to provide that content for classroom use. During NeurOn's active phase students were given the opportunity to e-mail their own questions to NASA folks and the question/answer pairs are available for browsing. Throughout the project details were announced on the updates mailing list. As many of the subjects covered are timeless, a permanent archive will remain online for use at any time.

Our team is always interested in receiving your ideas and feedback. Send any comments to Linda Conrad (lindac@quest.arc.nasa.gov).

We hope that NeurOn will prove to be an exciting learning resource for you and your students.

Thanks for your interest,
