Can the astronauts take insects for the crickets to eat while they are on
STS-90?

We feed our cricket instars with sterilized rat food and 
sterilized water. You have to know that it is impossible for a crew 
to feed approximately 1.400 instars during the flight. Therefore, we 
had to find a way by which enough food is available for each instar 
for a 17-days lasting flight. By many tests, we found out that the 
most simple way is the best one: i.e., rat food and water.
