QUESTION: Where will the RAHF be monitored (scientifically) during flight? ANSWER from Chris Barreras on March 10, 1998: The RAHFs will be monitored during flight from three locations. At a monitoring room at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, at a Monitoring romm here at Ames Res.Center at Moffett Field Calif., and at Johnson Space Center in Texas. We will be able to see several system parameters or functions which include habitat temperatures, lighting status, power draw, Water pressure, Circulation fan status to list a few. We plan on performing a dry run of this monitoring system on Weds and Thurs March 11 and 12.
