DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE
Rules published in January 1989 in the Federal Register state that people
who receive federal grants must guarantee prior to any award of money
a drug-free workplace. False testimony will result in suspension of payments.
A drug-free workplace means
- that drugs on the site are illegal
- establish a drug-free awareness program about the dangers of drugs
- provide medical programs to rehabilitate and counsel substance
abusers
- make known the penalties
- taking appropriate action against any illegal drug use
The following people certify that they will not engage in any illegal
drug use, manufacture, distribution, or possession and will abide by the
drug-free workplace on condition of the grant.
