Payloads Stowage Manager, SLO
Function
Responsible for ARC Neurolab payload Shuttle Stowage analysis and
integration. Coordinates the support of contractor engineering and test
and integration personnel through the Engineering Task Order Manager and
Payload Operations Manager for all Neurolab stowage. Detailed
responsibilities include: defining requirements for most efficient and
effective stowage provisions and insuring their implementation into the
payload, developing the stowage list and providing all stowage related
information for 16 experiments to the Mission Management Office,
coordinating stowage design and engineering specifications for all LMES
responsible stowage elements, coordinating the preparation of stowage
installation drawings for mission management and crew systems utilization,
and managing the delivering of all stowage hardware to support crew
training and flight activities.

10/93 - 2/94: Developed, co-authored and managed the ARC SLS-2
Educational Outreach Program, SLS-2 Takes Science to the Schools (AAV-1492
4/11/94), highlighting the Bone, Calcium and Space flight Experiment flown
by ARC's Dr. Emily Morey-Holton. This outreach program involved three
schools and culminated with 330 sixth grade students visiting ARC and
speaking to the SLS-2 Payload Commander, Dr. Rhea Seddon.
9/92 - 6/96: Developed and co-authored an Educational Outreach Program
for the Frog Embryology Experiment. Presented outreach program to
elementary, intermediate and high school students in California and Hawaii.
Length of Service
At Ames Research Center 7 years (10/89). Transferred from the Department
of the Navy, Strategic Systems Projects Office after ten years of service.
