Kyle Herring/Bob Jacobs Headquarters, Washington Dec. 20, 2001 (Phone: 202/358-4504/1600) NOTE TO EDITORS: N01-76 NASA ADVISORY COUNCIL RELEASES SPACE STATION RECOMMENDATIONS The NASA Advisory Council (NAC) Wednesday sent a letter to Acting NASA Administrator Dr. Daniel R. Mulville with its recommendations for the management and future development of the International Space Station. The findings come nearly two weeks after the NAC was presented with the results of The International Space Station Management and Cost Evaluation (IMCE) Task Force. The IMCE was chartered to perform an independent external review of the space station program. NASA will have no formal comment on the NAC's findings until the Administrator and senior agency management have an opportunity to do a comprehensive assessment of the advisory council's recommendations.
