MISSION: STS-109 - HST Servicing Mission 3B VEHICLE: Columbia/OV-102 TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE: Feb. 28, 2002 at 6:48 a.m. TARGET KSC LANDING DATE: March 11, 2002 at 3:33 a.m. MISSION DURATION: 11 days CREW: Altman, Carey, Grunsfeld, Currie, Newman, Linnehan, Massimino ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 308 nautical miles/28.5 degrees Shuttle Processing Note: Shuttle Columbia is at Complex 39, Pad A undergoing final preparations for the Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission, and remains on schedule for the planned Feb. 28 liftoff. The main engine Flight Readiness Test is complete and the two-day Countdown Demonstration Test (CDT) is underway, with a T-0 at 11 a.m. on Friday. The seven STS-109 crewmembers will be at the launch pad for familiarization and emergency egress operations today and will be onboard Columbia tomorrow to participate in the final hours of the simulated countdown. Payload Processing Note: Columbia's payload doors were opened yesterday and final payload bay cleaning and payload pre-delivery operations are in work. MISSION: STS-110 - 13th ISS Flight (8A) - ITS SO TRUSS AND MOBILE TRANSPORTER VEHICLE: Atlantis/OV-104 TARGET KSC LAUNCH DATE: April 4, 2002 TARGET KSC LANDING DATE: April 15, 2002 MISSION DURATION: 11 days CREW: Bloomfield, Frick, Ross, Smith, Ochoa, Morin, Walheim ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 122 nautical miles/51.6 degrees Shuttle Processing Note: Pre-launch operations continue with Shuttle Atlantis in the Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF). Remote Manipulator System (RMS) checkout is complete and the RMS has been installed in the orbiter. The left-hand Orbiter Maneuvering System (OMS) pod will be installed tomorrow after two bolt holes in attach point No. 5 are re-aligned. The right-hand pod will be removed for inspection next week. The STS-110 Astronaut crew will be at KSC to participate in the Crew Equipment and Interface Test (CEIT) on Saturday. MISSION: STS-111 - 14th ISS flight (UF2) - MPLM VEHICLE: Endeavour/OV-105 TARGET LAUNCH DATE: May 2, 2002 TARGET KSC LANDING DATE: May 13, 2002 CREW: Cockrell, Lockhart, Chang-Diaz, Perrin; (ISS up) Korzun, Whitson, Treschev; (ISS down) Onufrienko, Bursch, Walz ORBITAL INSERTION ALTITUDE and INCLINATION: 122 nautical miles/51.6 degrees Shuttle Processing Note: Preparations for SCAPE operations are in progress with Shuttle Endeavour in its OPF Bay. OMS cross-feed line propellants will be off loaded prior to changing out three thrusters in the right-hand OMS pod this weekend. STRUCTURAL INSPECTION & MODIFICATION PERIOD VEHICLE: Discovery/OV-103 Shuttle Processing Note: Discovery rolled back to the OPF from temporary storage in the Vehicle Assembly Building high bay on Monday. Jack and level operations are complete and the orbiter will be powered up today for systems checks. No decision has been made by Shuttle managers on the content, schedule and location for the structural inspection and modification down period. -- end -
