Preview of ISS Webcast

NASA Quest and Johnson Space Center's Distance Learning Outpost Presents: A Virtual Tour of the International Space Station

Johnson Space Center is the center for manned spaceflight and headquarters for the International Space Station Program. As home of America's astronauts, JSC is responsible for training the astronauts and flight control teams that support manned missions.

Join us at the Johnson Space Center for almost monthly live tours of the International Space Station mockup and training facility. You will be taken inside the Living Quarters where Astronauts will spend their work, play, rest and recreation time aboard the ISS. Besides being the most advanced laboratory for research and science, the International Space Station will be a launching point to destinations across the solar system. To learn more about the Mockup and Training Facility for NASA's ISS Astronaut Program visit their Website

The pictures below will preview what you can expect to see covered. Please remember that your questions "shape" the webcast, so content may vary:

The Neutral Buoyancy Lab is at JSC and we are treated to live coverage of an astronaut in this giant swimming pool training for space walks.

Taking advantage of available footage we see what a glass of water set loose in microgravity looks like,

and we watch some entertaining footage of astronauts "playing with their food" on orbit.

There are answers to your burning questions about life on orbit...

We are able capture live coverage from the International Space Station,

and animations can help to describe how the assembly of the station takes place.

We think you'll have to agree that this is a unique and exciting program. Join us!
