Liz's Biography

Join us to talk about growing plants in space aboard the International Space Station during this month's webcast. NASA Quest Correspondent John Rau will be joined by two NASA scientists from the Advanced Life Support group at the Kennedy Space Center: Gary Stutte, a Lead Plant Physiologist and Liz Stryjewski, an Electron Microscopist will be talking about two spaceflight experiments:
  • The PESTO Project, which will be aboard ISS within the next couple of months
  • The RASTA Project, which is in the early stages of planning and development.
The discussion will focus on getting plant experiments ready for spaceflight, including what obstacles were overcome to get PESTO ready, and what still must be overcome for RASTA to be successful.

For information about these two plant experiments please read the Gary Stutte and Liz Stryjewski biographies and let Kid Quest help you understand the up coming webcast.
