My name is Mary Shane and I teach at Advanced Technologies Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada. This past year I taught Honors Chemistry and General Physics. Next school year I will be adding Advanced Placement Environmental Science. I have taught in rural Nevada as well as Idaho.

I started my teaching career at East Minico Junior High in Rupert, Idaho. I graduated from Idaho State University where I majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of science subjects over the years, but have taught primarily physical sciences.

I am an alumni of Spaceward Bound Mojave 2011. I am also part of the National Space Biomedical Research Institute Teacher Academy Project. I also do work with the Nevada Mining Association. My interest are varied, and I am looking forward to incorporating more about NASA"s missions and planetary analogs in my science classes.
