Thomas Clardy
MDRS Spaceward Bound Crew 52

I was raised in Thornton, Pennsylvania. The realization as a child that science is the book in which the endless mysteries of our universe can be read sparked an unyielding thirst for a career engaging in such exploration.

Graduating with a BS from Elizabethtown College in 2000, I have gone on to work on matters of emerging computing technologies. Areas of expertise include data communication networks and wireless propagation technologies.

I also currently lead efforts in the design and construction of novel biomedical devices.

My passions include planetary science, astrobiology, the physics of deep space communication, and amateur astronomy.

I enjoy alpine skiing, backpacking, climbing, running, snorkeling, and a plethora of home construction projects.
