Glen Guzik
MDRS Spaceward Bound Crew 55

Greetings! My name is Glen Guzik. I was born in Baton Rouge, LA and attended Louisiana State University Laboratory School until the 10th grade. I received my high school diploma from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Natchitoches. In my youth I spent my summers on Lake Summit at Camp Mondamin and have been a sailing counselor there for the past 3 years. I have been certified by the Wilderness Medical Associates as a First Responder and by the Red Cross as a lifeguard.

I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology and will graduate in spring of 2007. When I'm not busy studying I enjoy spinning vinyl at my school's student run radio station, sailing, camping, swimming at the beach, and viewing occasional rocket launches. I am currently
leading a design project called PANTHR that will build and launch a nitrous oxide and paraffin hybrid rocket. I plan to pursue higher education in aerospace systems management. In the near future I hope to design, to build, and to test high performance rockets. I am excited about being a member of MDRS crew 58 and look forward to experiencing the Mars analog
environment.
