I have been a middle school math and science teacher for fifteen years at Riverview Middle School in Helendale, California, where I also coach cross-country and basketball. 

I enjoy traveling.  I have been to Costa Rica, parts of Mexico, and Canada.  I am currently involved in the People to People Student Ambassador program, taking students to different parts of the world as ambassadors for the United States.  I look forward to visiting Europe next summer. 

My interests include hiking, backpacking, spelunking, running, and playing basketball with my husband and three children.  I also play the congas, flute, and saxophone in a local rock and roll band.
