Education: Earned BS Degree from St. Cloud State University, 1997
Currently working on MA in Environmental Education from California State University San Bernardino (projected graduation date: June, 2007) Career Background: After completing a couple of temporary teaching positions in Minnesota, I took a job teaching 7th and 8th grade science at Twentynine Palms Junior High School. Since that time, I have held several leadership positions within my school, started a campus garden, and began a program promoting science literacy in the neighboring elementary school. I am a member of CSTA and a board member for Sky’s the Limit, a local nonprofit organization aiming to construct an observatory and nature center in Twentynine Palms, California. Personal Information: My wife, Amy, and I reside just outside of Twentynine Palms, California with our cat, Indiana, and our dog, Comet. We moved there in the fall of 1998 to escape the harsh winters of Minnesota (I do miss ice fishing). When I can, I enjoy hiking, fishing, camping and really anything else outside. I also love writing, traveling, cooking, and football. I take a great deal of pride in having been raised in Holdingford, Minnesota. When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe. ~John Muir
