I have been teaching here in the San Bernardino City Unified School District for 17 years as a seventh and eighth grade science teacher. I have one daughter, one son-in-law and four wonderful grandchildren! I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS degree in Biology and started out my career as a high school teacher, but somehow ended up back in middle school when I migrated over here to California. I went back to get my Master's degree and decided on Language Development as so many of our students here speak English as a second language. My job and my students take up a great deal of my time, but I also enjoy walking and doing projects around my house. I am extremely excited about being part of the Spaceward Bound Expedition and plan on bringing my enthusiasm back to my classroom where I can pass it on to our future scientists and astronauts!
