a series of webcasts and chats complete with lesson plans and will take
a special look at shuttle processing in preparation for the International
Space Station.
Live
from NASA at the Johnson Space Center
In cooperation with JSC's Distance Learning Outpost, NASA Quest presents
a series of webcasts and chats, complete with lesson plans, that focus
each month on a special facet of human space exploration.
Classroom
Connect Collaboration
May 7 through 11, Classroom Today features a week-long
focus on the men and women of the International Space Station team. Included
at the Classroom Today site are special daily puzzlers to challenge
the student, and helpful tips for teachers.
Ongoing
Chatting with NASA People
STO QuestChats
are key to the connection between students and NASA Space Team members.
These chats are scheduled regularly and involve an hour in which these
"experts" share their valuable time to help inspire and motivate today's
youth. Additionally, we maintain a schedule
of QuestChats available through all Quest projects.
Launch countdown!
Watch live Video coverage of special events like our "And now from
the launch" live interactive webcasts. Archives are maintained of
our past webcasts. Also, we bring you live NASA TV coverage for other
primarily ISS-involved Shuttle mission launches
Past, but always usable

Female
Frontiers: Space Team Online
joins Women of NASA and Learning Technology Channel to spotlight the upcoming
Shuttle mission, STS-93, in which Eileen Collins becomes the First Woman
Shuttle Commander. She and other women who pioneered their fields will
inspire us to follow our dreams!
The
Challenge Project: Anticipating the historic
Shuttle flight STS-95 that returned John Glenn to space (Fall 1998),
this project centers around a 7-day mission aboard the Scott Carpenter
Space Analog Station with lessons focusing on maintaining wellness and
learning throughout the aging process.
NeurOn
centers around shuttle flight STS-90 with Neurolab
onboard. The focus was on the men and women who made possible this mission
to study the brain and nervous system in space. The "live" phase was academic
year 1997/98, but the lessons and information is usable at any time.
Shuttle Simulations
In this activity,
students will perform a launch simulation, do an experiment collecting
data, and perform a landing with NASA-provided scripts.
