The Exodus will blast off at 9:30 AM March 25, 1999, carrying six student astronauts. The students will be in the simulator for two and on half days, landing on Saturday, March 27, 1999, at about 5:30 PM. Five of the astronauts and the mission control personnel were recruited from the Westmont student body and are members of Westmontâs Science Club. One of the student astronauts is a guest astronaut from San Lorenzo High School in the East Bay. Some of the experiments the astronauts conduct during the flight were produced by students from a chemistry class. Experiments from the Shuttle-Mir project at Lockheed are being conducted also. Boeing Corporation has donated a Bio-Isolation Filter, as used on NASA's space shuttle missions, which will be used as part of an experiment on Exodus. Graham Technology Solutions (GTS) has provided four video cameras and software, which will feed real-time images to the Internet.
