Launch - 2 days: Launch countdown activities continue on schedule today.
Operations to load the Power Reactant and Storage Distribution system
tanks with cryogenic reactants are set to begin late this afternoon.
Loading operations are scheduled to be completed by early tomorrow
morning, at which time the orbiter mid-body umbilical unit will be
demated.

Later tomorrow, the communications system on the Shuttle will be activated
and tested and the rotating service structure will be moved to the launch
position at about 9:30 p.m.

On Thursday beginning at about 8:45 a.m., the external tank will be loaded
with its complement of 500,000 gallons of liquid cryogenic propellants.
The crew will depart for the pad at 1:47 p.m.

Weather forecasters are currently indicating a 40 percent chance that
weather could prevent launch on Thursday. The primary concerns are for
showers and thunderstorms in the vicinity of the launch pad. At launch
time on Thursday, clouds will be scattered at 4000 feet, 10,000 feet and
25,000 feet. Winds will be from the southeast at 10 - 14 knots.
Temperature will be 82 degrees, F. and humidity 74 percent. Forecasters
call for a 70 percent chance of violation for a 24-hour and 48-hour delay.
